Operation Whirlwind is the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) flagship anti-petroleum products smuggling task force. It has been carrying out its roles and responsibilities across the country. The NCS Operation Whirlwind which has Deputy Comptroller Lucky Abubakar Aliyu as its National Co-ordinator has the full backing of the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Dr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and his management team in the discharge of its mandate. Maritime Bits checks reveals that prior to his appointment, Aliyu served as the Deputy National Co-ordinator of the same operation, bringing to the role a deep well of operational insight and field experience.
