Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) Nigeria has thumbs up the best graduating student in Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT), Victoria Island, Lagos, Miss Eunice Damilola Adebisi.
Adebisi was declared the best graduating female maritime student in Nigeria for the 2022 academic session (HND level) by the school authority.
Following her feat, she also bagged two awards as the Best Graduating Maritime Transportation and Business Management Student and the Best Graduating Female Maritime Student in Nigeria 2022 set at the 2024 Annual Maritime Students and Youth (AMSAY) conference organized by Platforms Communications.
In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded a cash prize of N100,000 by WISTA Nigeria under the category sponsors of Best Graduating Female Maritime Student Award.
These were contained in a press release issued by WISTA Nigeria President, Dr. Odunayo Ani and made available to Maritime Bits at the weekend.
According to the statement, WISTA Nigeria said it was proud to be associated with Adebisi for her outstanding academic performance and wishes her more outstanding achievements as she navigates the maritime terrain as a graduate and practitioner.
Formed in 1974, WISTA International is a global organisation connecting female executives and decision-makers around the globe.
The international organization in which the Nigeria Chapter is affiliated also serves as a connector for its network of more than 5,100 female professionals from all sectors of the maritime industry.
