Two milestones were attained by the MG Vowgas Group. These include the celebration of two million man hours without lost time incidents (LTI) and the unveiling of a heat treatment furnace and dish heads forming machine said to be the biggest in Nigeria nay, the West and Central Africa Sub-regions.

The event attracted dignitaries from all walks of life including community leaders from MG Vowgas Group host community, stakeholders in the maritime sector of the economy as well as the oil and gas industries.

On hand to unveil the state-of-the-art heat treatment furnace, dish heads and forming machine was the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote.

Wabote who was the special guest of honour at the epoch making event used the occasion to pour encomiums on the strides MG Vowgas Group and its Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Godwin Izomor have made since the establishment of the conglomerate.

The NCDMB helmsman specifically pat Izomor on the back for providing what he called “the right leadership” that made it possible for the firm to attain set goals and objectives, especially in the last two years.

He argued that if Izomor had not remained focus in the delivery of the purpose for which the firm was established, the milestones it has recorded over the years would have been a wild goose chase.

The photographs below depict several aspects of the epoch making event that took place at the company premises situated in the Woji area of the Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt recently:
