The Customs High Command which has its headquarters in Abuja has approved the appointment of two new Assistant Comptroller Generals of Customs (ACGs) and the redeployment of Customs Area Comptrollers (CACs).
The appointment of the ACGs which is in acting capacity and the redeployment of the CACs was in response to the statutory retirement of some management members of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) were approved by the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
To this end, Comptrollers Florence Nanu Ogar-Modey and Queen Ogbudu have been appointed ACG Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and Zonal Coordinator Zone B, respectively.
The CACs redeployed to various Customs formations include Comptroller Jaiyeoba Jide from Oyo/Osun Area Command to Apapa Area Command, Comptroller Dera Nnadi from Seme to Tin-Can Island Port, Comptroller Timi Bomodi from KLT to Seme, Comptroller Ahmed Abe from Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Zone ‘C’ to Kaduna Area Command and Comptroller Babandede Mohammad from Lilypond Export Command to Lagos Free Trade Zone Command.
Others are Comptroller Dauda Ibrahim Chana from Investigation Headquarters to Kano/Jigawa Area Command, Comptroller Martina Tilleygyado from Non-Intrusive Inspection to KLT Area Command, Comptroller Oloyode Adekunle from Tin-Can Island Port to Import and Export Headquarters while Compt. Zanna Chiroma will be leaving Import and Export for PCA Zone ‘C, among others.
Adeniyi in a statement obtained by Maritime Bits felicitated the newly appointed ACGs and redeployed officers on the task ahead of them.
The NCS boss charged them to put more efforts in the delivery of the core mandate of the NCS which includes revenue generation, suppression of smuggling, and trade facilitation.
