The umbrella body of journalists covering the maritime industry, the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has consoled the Chairman of Sifax Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi over the demise of his twin brother, Mr. Kehinde Afolabi.

Until his demise last week, Kehinde was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ken Dallas Hotel.

It is on record that the Sifax Group boss has remained a Patron of MARAN over the years. Sifax Group is a conglomerate with investments in maritime, aviation, oil and gas, haulage and logistics, financial services and hospitality.

The association in a condolence letter addressed to the Chairman and made available to Maritime Bits consoled him on the death of Kehinde.

The letter which was signed by its Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Mr. Gboyega Oni and Secretary, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama expressed its sympathy and condolence on the death of Kehinde.Among other things, MARAN said: “The death of your twin brother, Mr. Kehinde Afolabi, over the weekend came to us members of the Maritime Reporters’ Association of Nigeria as a rude shock as it was so sudden. We express our sincere condolences and sympathy to you, the immediate family left behind and the entire illustrious Afolabi family. May God rest the gentle soul of the deceased and grant him eternal rest. Our thoughts are with you. Kindly accept our condolences.”
