Satisfied with the way and manner his administration has ensued peace, safety of lives, promotion of skill acquisitions amongst the youths and provision of empowerment for different categories of the people in the state, a group comprising youths and women from all the three senatorial zones in Delta State have called on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to consider re-contesting for a second term of office in the 2019.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, the National Coordinator of “I dey with Okoya 2019”, Comrade Martins Abebe noted that the group has mobilised 150,000 youths already from the three senatorial zones to purchase the governorship form for Governor Okowa if he officially declare to contest for a second tenure come 2019.
Abebe noted that the ruling party in Delta State should be allowed to continue its good work on human capital and infrastructural development which has helped to reduce unemployment and anti-social vices.
The group urged Deltans to register with and obtain their permanent voter’s card (PVC) to enable them exercise their civic rights to re-elect Governor Okowa
