Mrs. Adedoyin RhodesVivour, SAN has been honoured by the International Law Association (ILA), Nigeria Branch.

Rhodes-Vivour who is the pioneer President, Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria (MAAN) was given an award by ILA at its 2023 arbitration committee dinner and award night which took place in Lagos recently.

Chairman, Arbitration Committee ILA, Tolulope Aderemi Esquire, expressed gratitude to Rhodes-Vivour for her support over the years.

“As the immediate-past Chairman of the Arbitration Committee, you set the plinth upon which the committee currently thrives and for this reason, I thank you”, Aderemi added.

Among other things, the dinner featured the presentation of a paper titled “International Arbitration, the Present and the Future” by Mr. Tunde Fagbohunlu, SAN and a fireside chat with Mrs. Hairat Balogun, a distinguished life bencher. She discussed the Ethics of the Bar and Bench, the Consequences of Misconduct by lawyers, justices, and judges, as well as the role of women in the legal profession.

The occasion provided an  opportunity for attendees to hold insightful discussions on the future of  the legal profession and   arbitration practice in Nigeria and Africa.

It is on record that the awardee was the pioneer Chairman, Arbitration Committee, ILA, Nigeria Branch.
