Hon. Onyemechi Njoku Crown, Member, Imo State House of Assembly

A group under the aegis of Ihitte Premier Organization (IPO) has commended a member of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Onyemechi Njoku Crown for what it called the “outstanding performance” of the legislator.

Crown who is one of the youngest lawmakers in the country represents Ihitte/Uboma Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly.

The leadership of IPO made the commendation when it led its members on a solidarity visit to Crown as part of its activities to mark the end of the year in the state.

President General of IPO, High Chief Cletus Anyanwu who stated this in his opening remarks, described Crown as a politician whose selfless service and kind gestures have gone a long way to alleviate the suffering of his constituents.

Also speaking, the Secretary of IPO, Barrister Uche Konkwo expressed appreciation to Crown for the remarkable feat he has achieved in the short period he got elected into the legislative arm of government.

He averred that the Christmas largesse and empowerment packages in which over 300 constituents benefitted are indication that he cared about his people.

While passing a vote of confidence on the lawmaker, IPO pledged its unwavering support to him just as he urged him not to relent from using available opportunity to lobby for the interest of Ihitte/Uboma constituency on the floor of the House of Assembly.

Anyanwu and Konkwo enjoined Crown to always consult stakeholders for opinion when stuck with critical challenges in the discharge of his statutory roles and responsibilities.

The leadership of IPO used the occasion to appeal to Governor Hope Uzodinma to consider indigenes of Ihitte extraction for key positions in subsequent appointments in his cabinet.

It also suggested the need to create opportunity for employment of young graduates which it observed would curb youth restiveness and crime in the area.

Crown in his response, expressed gratitude to IPO for its words of admonition and regretted that all efforts he made last year to attract development projects to the constituency were not achieved.

The legislator enjoined the leadership of IPO to be patient as he has perfected plan to put smile on the faces of his constituents in the 2021 government programmes.

On appointment and employment, Crown drew attention of the group to the fact that the governor has assured Imolites that the present administration would that not leave any part of the state behind in any of its programmes and projects.

According to him, people should expect a better performance from the government in this New Year.

He solicited for their prayers and support for Uzodinma led government to succeed in its drive to build an enviable state that will be the dream of everyone to live in.
