The umbrella body for clearing bents in the country, Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has been thrown into mourning as its former Chairman, Tin Island Port Chapter, Prince Kayode Oyinlola kicked the bucket Monday May 28, 2018 after a brief illness.
The imposing national secretariat of ANLCA called Dikko House, in Amuwo Odofin though undergoing renovation was a shadow of itself when Maritime Bits reporter visited.
Though speculations were rife on the circumstances surrounding the demise of the ANLCA chieftain, his death was confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Joe Sanni.
An active member of the association, Oyinlola contested for the office of Vice President of ANLCA in March 2018 and lost.
Already, the National Vice President of ANLCA, Prince Kayode Farinto has directed that a condolence register be opened at the Tin Can Chapter where Oyinlola he served as its Chairman.
Farinto who also doubles as the Acting National President of the association following the overseas trip of the National President, Hon. Anthony Iju Nwabunike for medical attention also directed that a condolence register should be opened for Oyinlola at ANLCA national secretariat.
In the same vein, the Acting National President also directed that all activities of ANLCA to be suspended for the next two weeks to mourn Oyinlola.
