The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has commiserated with the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Muhammad Bello-Koko over the death of his father, Alhaji Muhammad Koko.
Koko was said to have died on July 21, 2023 after an undisclosed protracted illness.
MARAN in a statement signed by its President, Mr. Godfrey Bivbere expressed the condolence of the association to the NPA helmsman and the entire Koko family.
Bivbere said though the death of a loved one is painful, no matter the age at the time of death, the NPA helmsman and the family should take solace in the fact that it is the almighty Lord’s wish to take the deceased home at this time.
According to him, it is our prayers that Allah will have mercy on his soul and forgive him his shortcomings as well as grant him entrance to everlasting rest.
The NPA helmsman had earlier announced the death of his father on his official Twitter handle which read: “This morning, my dear father, Alhaji Muhammad Koko passed away after a protracted illness. May Allah have mercy on his soul and forgive him all his shortcomings.”
