Looking for something to watch this weekend? Here are five movies I watched this month and highly recommend. Whether you enjoy romance, drama, comedy, or suspense, these picks offer a little something for everyone.

·        Keke Love (YouTube): A testament to the fact that love is not found in grand gestures alone but in the little things: caring for each other, showing up, and being thoughtful. Super Charger and Ife weather every storm that threatens to rock their budding relationship. In the end, love wins, and they do not have to fight for it alone because their friends stand firmly by their side. Some scenes will make you shed a tear, while others will leave you roaring with laughter.

·        Longing (YouTube): A situation ship is typically a relationship where both parties decide to see where things go. It feels exciting because there is no pressure until one person wants something more serious. Eniafe has plenty of love to give, but the men she meets are either emotionally unavailable or afraid of commitment. After one situation ship too many, she must decide whether to keep settling or start choosing herself. Will she retrace her steps, or will she continue overextending herself in the hope that things will eventually change? Find out in this production from Bolaji Ogunmola TV.

·        Second Chances (YouTube): Three women from very different walks of life find their lives unexpectedly intertwined: a lawyer with a hidden past, a hairstylist and single mother carrying a secret, and a successful career woman battling for custody of the children she once left behind. What binds them together? Love, purpose, resilience, and the willingness to help one another overcome life’s challenges. This moving story is a true celebration of womanhood and the power of community.

·        Lost Connection (YouTube): Seventy-two hours without gadgets and a promise from their therapist that this is exactly what their struggling relationship needs. Determined to revive the spark they once shared, these two lovers set out on a journey of reconnection. Centred on love, connection, and companionship. This movie reveals what truly matters in a relationship: two people committed to making it work.

·        Facing El Chapo (Netflix): Love or duty? A police officer is forced to choose between protecting his young family and upholding the law he swore to defend. During a routine night shift, he and his partner come face-to-face with a notorious drug cartel boss and his sidekick. Tensions rise, offers are made, and threats are issued. But the real question is: will they do the right thing? And what exactly is the right thing? This gripping movie explores themes of family, sacrifice, loyalty, and courage.

See you next week.
