The remains of Pa Isaac Kabokeme Omonibeke, the father of the erstwhile Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Engr. David Omonbeke will be laid to rest on Tuesday November 25, 2025 at his hometown, Peretoru Federated Community, Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State,
Described as a patriot and community leader by those who know him, Pa Omonibeke retired as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) some yeaes ago.
He kicked the bucket on August 9, 2025 at the age of 89.
Maritime Bits checks revealed that Engr. David Omonibeke served as the Executive Director, Marine and Operations between 2012 and 2016 during the tenure of Alhaji Habib Abdullahi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NPA.
The former Executive Director who confirmed the development to Maritime Bits also gave an insight into the obsequies.
According to him, a service of songs in the honour of his late father will take place by 2 pm on Saturday November 22, 2025 at the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Chapel of Praise, Region 27, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
In the same vein, a funeral service ahead of his interment in his residence will take place on Tuesday November 25, 2025 at Community Primary School, Peretoru Federated Community, Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
Similarly, a thanksgiving service will take place at RCCG, Chapel of Praise, Region 27 Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Sunday November 30, 2025. Top Ministers of God led by those from RCCG, Chapel of Praise, Region 27 will officiate at the funeral rites expected to be attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.
Pa Omonibeke is survived by many loved ones including brothers, sisters, children and grand children.
