I know these past few weeks you have consumed a lot of content centered on goal setting, and New Year resolutions and projections. Indeed, it is quite easy to get lost in the abundance of ideas on how your life should look like this year. You go on social media and someone is advising you to invest aggressively in stocks while another person is championing japa as the best thing you should achieve this year.
While these ideas are not bad themselves, you risk ending up not achieving anything and that is why narrowing down your priorities is important. Your goals should be in tandem with your life vision not because it is a trending thing or other people are moving in that direction.
Take investments in stocks for example. Yes, you want to increase your money by buying stocks this year because a lot of people claimed they made money off of it last year, but have you taken your time to understand the concept of investing and what you should even invest in? You want to become a private chef, but have you considered culinary school or even training with an already established person in that field?
Beyond figuring out what you want to do, you must also answer why you want to do it. Narrowing down your priorities helps you edit and re-edit your plans until they align with your vision which is the bigger picture. Make use of the scale of preference as this will help you determine what comes first in the order of importance or urgency.
Be intentional this year. Do not just vibe and see where it goes.

A young woman who courts non committed relationships now has to confront the feelings she has developed for her boss.
