The Media Anti-Corruption Initiative (MAI) has hailed the Federal Government’s intention to unveil Phase 1 of the National Single Window (NSW) Project on March 27, 2026.
Describing it as a landmark step toward transparency and efficiency in trade, MAI in a joint statement signed by its Chairman, Captain Adamu Mischella and Secretary General, Mr. Funso Olojo emphasized that the NSW will revolutionize business interactions with government agencies by streamlining processes and reducing opportunities for corruption.
Maritime Bits checks revealed that NSW aims to create a centralized platform where all trade-related transactions will be managed through a single digital interface.
It was also gathered that it will simplified documentation, expedite approvals, reduced bureaucratic hurdles, apart from fostering a more accountable business environment.
According to the statement which was made available to Maritime Bits, officials from MAI highlighted that the NSW project aligns with global best practices in governance and trade facilitation.
It maintained that by minimizing bureaucratic hurdles, NSW is expected to enhance the ease of doing business in the country, attracting potential investors and boosting economic growth.
“The initiative is not just about improving efficiency; it also represents a commitment to combating corruption by making processes more transparent. With robust monitoring and reporting features, the platform will provide stakeholders with the tools to track transactions and hold officials accountable”, it added.
It stated that as the launch date approaches, MAI enjoined all stakeholders to actively participate in the rollout, ensuring that the benefits of the NSW are realized across all sectors.
