You do not have to do the most to show up at work every day. With these simple beauty hacks, you are sure to always look put together.
A Swipe of Lip Gloss: This adds instant shine and lift to your face. For a fuller effect, line your lips with a brown or black lip liner before applying the lip gloss.
Moisturized Skin: This is not limited to the face alone. Your legs and arms need to look hydrated too. Apply moisturizer, body cream/oils, petroleum jelly or even Shea Butter on your body in moderate amounts.
Laid Edges: There is no need for complicated designs. Just use an old toothbrush or tail comb to make gentle wavy strokes on your edges with edge control or gel. This frames your face and helps keep stray baby hairs in place.
Well-packed Hair: Whether braids, wigs or natural hair, packing your hair neatly gives a polished and intentional appearance. Make use of headbands, hair clips/pins and scrunches to style your hair in several ways.
Clean Shoes: There is a reason shoes are a big part of your looks. Even if it is one pair you own, store it properly and keep it clean and polished.
Dressing Your Size: Wearing clothes that fit your frame and suit your style is a sure confidence booster. Do not just throw clothes on your body. Consider colours, patterns, textures and your skin tone.
A Genuine Smile: Wearing a smile makes you appear approachable and less stiff. It brightens up your face and helps you view situations with a positive mindset.
Jewelry: It could be a chunky bangle, stud or hoop earrings, a dainty necklace, or rings. Simple pieces of jewelry elevate even the most basic outfit.
Smelling Good: This starts from the bathroom. Be particular about how you want to smell from your soap or body wash to body cream, deodorant, then one or two scents that you like. Add clean clothes and you are good to go.
Clean, Manicured Nails: You do not necessarily need nail extensions for your nails to look polished. Keep your natural nails clean, neatly trimmed, and moisturized. This shows good grooming and care.
See you next week.
