Ogbueshi (Dr.) Isichei Osamgbi is not an ordinary man. He has traversed the private and public sector gathering valuable insights, experience and exposure that has made him to be a dependable ally wherever he works.

From the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) to THISDAY Newspaper where he made his mark as the Group Foreign Diplomatic Editor for years and the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) where he occupied several positions including Head, Public Relations Department, he has over the years shown capacity to deliver on any assignment given to him. He finally exited the Federal Government parasatal which is the designated authority (DA) for the implementation of conventions of the global maritime watchdog, International Maritime Organisation (IMO) after attaining the age of 60 and the position of Director recently.

Apparently aware that without the help of the almighty God, he would not have made all the strides he has made over the years, Osamgbi, a devoted Catholic, organized a thanksgiving at Saint Charles Lwanga Catholic Church, Nigerian Army Cantonment, Maryland, Ikeja, Lagos and a reception at Naval Dockyard, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. Erstwhile colleagues in the various places he had worked over the years, family, associates, friends and well-wishers attended both events recently.

Stake holders in the maritime industry, including the erstwhile Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside and the pioneer President, Ship Owners Association of Nigeria (SOAN) and Chairman, Starzs Group, Engr. Greg Ogbeifun attended the occasion. Here are some of the photographs depicting various scenes at the occasion:
