For the third year in a row, Sifax Group has marked its annual thanksgiving and praise night with the theme “God’s Faithfulness, Our Gratitude”.
The event turned the serene Lagos Marriott Hotel, G.R.A. Ikeja into a frenzy with its management and staff as well as stakeholders thanking God for the milestones the conglomerate has attained since it was established more than a decade ago.
Indeed, it was a celebration like no other as the venue of the event in the basement of the five star hotel was transformed into a sanctuary of gratitude and celebration on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Not a few who attended the event attested to the fact that it was a vibrant display of corporate unity, spiritual fervour, and glamour, bringing together the Group’s board, management, staff, clients, senior government officials, and stakeholders in the maritime sector of the economy and beyond.
Apparently pleased with the strides the conglomerate has made over the years, Sifax Group Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi in his welcome address noted that the event serves as a way of appreciating God for His faithfulness to the Sifax Group family in the outgoing year.
His words: “As we reflect on the outgoing business year, it is evident that our achievements, resilience, and progress were not by might, nor by power, but by the grace and faithfulness of God.”
Afolabi used the occasion to reiterate that, despite dynamic economic challenges and global uncertainties, the conglomerate remained anchored in divine clarity and stability.
Some of those who attended the event told Maritime Bits that they were pleased that the thanksgiving atmosphere was charged from start to finish as a star-studded lineup of music ministers led the congregation in continuous worship and praising the almighty Lord in so many dimensions.
According to them, the musical experience was not only a master class in diversity and devotion but also worthwhile beginning with Omotola Sax and the Ijebu Anglican Choir, after which Eyinju Jesu took the stage to lead the gathering in a hot praise session.
Others who also featured in the event were Nonso Choir, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), BJ Sax, Dare Justified, and Lilian Nneji.
They stirred a festive Christmas atmosphere by warming the gathering with soul-lifting carols and hymns that made the attendees to a closer and sober walk with their creator.
